In Uganda the drivers/guide fee is $40 per day and when cross to other East African countries like Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania the fee cost $50 per day.

Though in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya we offer self-drive safaris in Tanzania we have come to a resolution that we offer driver/guide. Tanzania is a good country that everyone would wish to go self-drive but in the tourist areas the routes are so much rugged and terrible which are complicated to a new traveler to drive.

Tanzania is big but the northern circuit that is much visited in only like 07 – 09 days can be covered and also parks like Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro are so terrific straight from the roads, easy to get lost if you don’t have communication call with the local guide.

Then with the high fees to enter the Ngorongoro crater if anything happens to the car becomes hard, a rescue car also pays and you find had to charge this from the travelers or from the little fee that the operator gets as commission on the rental. But with the local guide since they have got the mechanical skills it is easy to get out the crater.
